I suppose that one could try to use the Okhotnik as a traditional run and gun Russian DD, but in my experience, it played better when you were more cautious with it. They're really more for ambush situations where you can catch an enemy coming around the corner of an island too closely. The Leningrad just happens to have usable 8 km torpedoes.Īs for the Okhotnik, I suggest that one not get suckered into trying to be too aggressive with all its torpedoes. A baby Khab, as a previous poster put it. The Leningrad is very much a traditional Russian, run-and-gun style DD. is about the same. The Okhotnik and Leningrad play very differently. No, it was coincidence that I came up with exactly 7 points.Įverything else. It's tier 7 - it'll print more credits & XP than Gremy.Don't think you can blaze your guns away in safety anymore. ( CE skill included) Cannot easily stealth-fire like the Gremy - Gremyashchy has a 4.3km buffer zone when firing whereas Leningrad has only 1.4km buffer zone.Turning radius-wise, Leningrad's is the same as Kiev's, whereas Gremy beats Gnevny's by 100m difference. The speed - Leningrad shares the Khabarovsk's speed. This difference can matter as DD knife fights are very fast paced & somewhat reaction-based. The turrets can turn a better than Gremy's - (for 180 degrees) top traverse at 17.7 sec vs Gremy's 20 sec.Leningrad's torps are obviously better than Gremy's by a margin - tier-wise, I think it beats Gremy's (think of Hatsu, Mahan, Kiev). The gun firing angles are different - Leningrad can fire all 5 forward at approximately 30-40 degrees, whereas Gremy has to show ~50 degrees.
